About Carol Hathaway MD, FACS
Dr. Carol Hathaway began her practice in 1996 with the vision of creating a medical practice that treats every patient with dignity and first-rate care. The nurses and staff at Dr. Hathaway's office are highly trained and exceptionally friendly. We understand that for many patients visiting a doctor can be a stressful experience. Carol Hathaway, MD
Dr. Hathaway was born in Spokane, Washington and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She went to medical school at the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii in 1984, followed by general surgical residency at the University of Florida, Jacksonville from 1984-1990. Dr Hathaway completed a Burn Fellowship training under Mani M. Mani, MD at the University of Kansas in 1991 and was board certified in general surgery the same year. Dr. Hathaway completed her Residency in Plastic Surgery at the University of Washington in 1994 and then established her practice in the Spokane Valley. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Hathaway is also involved in Spokane's Inland Northwest Plastic Surgeons educational cooperative. Their goal is to educate the public on the dangers of having cosmetic or plastic surgery procedures performed by non-board certified plastic surgeons.
